The Vision
Coffee Roastery & Café Design – Al Quoz, Dubai
This project is located in Al Quoz, Dubai, within a large industrial warehouse that the client
intended to transform into a coffee roastery and specialty café. The vision was to create a
multifunctional space that would support both the operational side of coffee production and a
welcoming environment for visitors.
When the project began, the warehouse was completely empty, without electrical connections,
water supply, or any internal infrastructure. Our role was to develop the full architectural and
interior design concept, transforming the raw industrial space into a functional and dynamic
coffee destination.
A significant portion of the facility was dedicated to storage areas for green coffee beans,
allowing the client to manage and stock large quantities of coffee before roasting. In addition, the
program included meeting rooms for internal discussions and business activities, as well as a
lecture and training room where new baristas could learn about coffee roasting techniques and
the craft of specialty coffee preparation.
The open warehouse volume allowed us to create a public café area within the space. This open
zone was designed to host visitors who can enjoy coffee while experiencing the atmosphere of
the roastery. The layout encourages guests to spend time in the space, observe the process, and
engage with the coffee culture behind the brand.
The design approach balances the industrial character of the warehouse with warm, inviting
café elements, creating a unique environment where production, education, and hospitality
coexist.
The final result is a fully transformed warehouse that functions as a coffee roastery, training
hub, and social café—bringing together the operational and experiential aspects of specialty
coffee under one roof.
