Modern Private Villa – Al Rahmaniya

The Vision
Located in the Al Rahmaniya district of Sharjah, this modern private villa was designed to
accommodate the lifestyle of a large family while creating a balance between comfort,
functionality, and refined interior aesthetics.
The architectural layout is organized across two levels. The ground floor includes a guest
bedroom, along with a fully equipped kitchen, a formal majlis for hosting guests, a family sitting
area, gym, sauna, laundry, and service spaces that support the everyday functioning of the
household. The first floor accommodates five bedrooms, carefully arranged to provide privacy
and comfort for the family members.
One of the defining aspects of this project is the personalized approach to the bedroom
interiors. The family includes children and young adults ranging in age from ten to twenty-four,
which required each room to be designed according to the individual lifestyle, taste, and
functional needs of its occupant.
Rather than imposing a single design language throughout the house, each bedroom was
developed as a unique environment that reflects the personality of the resident. One of the
daughters preferred a classical interior style, featuring elegant detailing and a more traditional
design language, while other family members favored a modern aesthetic aligned with the
contemporary architectural character of the villa.
Despite these variations, the design maintains a cohesive visual identity through the thoughtful
selection of materials, colors, and textures that unify the different spaces.
A key inspiration in the design came from the mother of the family, who has a strong appreciation
for natural materials, particularly natural stone. Reflecting this preference, the majlis features a
large natural stone feature wall, which acts as a focal point in the space and introduces a sense
of timeless elegance and authenticity to the interior.
The final result is a residence that successfully combines modern architectural clarity with
personalized interior design, creating a warm and sophisticated home that responds to the
diverse needs and personalities of the family while maintaining a harmonious overall design
language.
