Residential Interior Design – Al Mizhar Villa, Dubai
Residential
The Vision
This project involved the interior design of a private villa located in Al Mizhar, Dubai,
approximately ten years after its construction. Although the house had been completed for
several years, the homeowners had not previously invested in a comprehensive interior design.
They approached us to transform several key spaces within the villa to better suit their family
lifestyle.
The design scope included the family hall, the ground floor formal seating area, the majlis for
guest reception, and the bedroom of the eldest son.
The homeowners are a family with three young boys aged five, six, and nine, which made their
needs slightly different from a typical household. Safety and durability were essential
considerations throughout the design process. The interiors were therefore developed with
child-friendly solutions, ensuring that furniture layouts, material selections, and finishes
support a safe and comfortable environment for young children.
In the family living spaces, the design focuses on practicality, comfort, and a welcoming
atmosphere, allowing the family to spend time together in a relaxed setting while maintaining a
refined aesthetic appropriate for a contemporary villa.
For the majlis and ground floor seating area, the approach balances elegance with functionality,
creating spaces suitable for both everyday family use and guest reception.
The bedroom designed for the eldest son was carefully developed to reflect the personality and
needs of a nine-year-old child, combining playful elements with practical storage and a layout
that supports both rest and daily activities.
The result is a harmonious and family-oriented interior design that enhances the functionality
of the villa while creating a safe, warm, and inviting home environment.
